ScaleBig Construction is a residential renovation business serving homeowners in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington and the surrounding area of Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.

We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms and tools:

• Consultation, contact and renovation inquiry forms: your name, phone number, email address, postal code, project type, budget range, timeline, preferred contact time, how you heard about us and any project details you write.
• Interior painting estimate requests: your contact details, location, the scope and timing of the work, your project notes and any photographs you choose to upload.
• Basement Apartment Qualifier: if you ask for a written summary, your first name, email address, your answers and the resulting score.
• Basement Income Calculator: if you ask for a written summary, your first name, email address and the figures you entered and calculated.

You can use the qualifier and calculator without giving us any personal information. We only receive your answers when you ask us to email you a summary.

We use your information to:

• Respond to your inquiry and arrange your free consultation.
• Review your project details and photographs and prepare an estimate.
• Send the qualifier or calculator summary you requested.
• Coordinate services and correspond with you about your project.
• Protect the website and our forms from spam and abuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not add you to newsletters or promotional campaigns. We will only contact you about the inquiry, estimate, summary or project you asked about.

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and respond to you:

• Lovable and Lovable Cloud host the website and the secure database where form submissions are saved. Submissions are processed by our own server functions rather than directly from your browser.
• Private photo storage: painting photographs are kept in private storage that is not publicly accessible. We review them through links that expire after a limited time.
• Resend delivers our emails, including the notification we receive about your inquiry and any summary you requested.
• Our email account receives a copy of each inquiry so we can reply to you.

These providers process information on our behalf to deliver their services. We share information with other parties, such as trades or design professionals working on your project, only where needed to provide the services you asked for, or where required by law.

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is held there, your information may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities.

Access to customer inquiries is limited to ScaleBig Construction and the trusted systems that process them. Website visitors cannot view other people's submissions, and uploaded photographs are not public. We use encrypted connections, access controls and limits on repeated form submissions.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been affected, please contact us at ahmad@scalebig.ai.

When you visit the website, some technical information is processed automatically:

• Essential cookies: our hosting and security providers set short lived cookies used to serve the correct version of the site and to protect it from automated abuse. They are not used for advertising.
• Visitor statistics: our hosting provider may record basic, aggregated visit information, such as pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type and approximate location derived from your internet address. This is used to understand overall site traffic.
• Fonts: the website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your internet address with it.
• Abuse prevention: painting estimate requests use a scrambled form of your internet address to limit repeated submissions.

We do not use advertising cookies or advertising tracking pixels.

We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed:

• Inquiries that do not become projects, and requested qualifier or calculator summaries, are reviewed for deletion 24 months after our last meaningful interaction.
• Painting photographs from inquiries that do not become projects are reviewed for deletion after 12 months.
• Records for active and completed projects are kept as long as reasonably needed for contract, warranty, insurance, accounting and legal obligations.
• Security and abuse prevention records are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

These reviews are carried out by us periodically; deletion is not automatic. Copies held in email accounts and by our service providers are handled as part of the same reviews, subject to their capabilities and our legal obligations.

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ahmad@scalebig.ai with your request and the name, email or phone number you used.

To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We aim to respond within 30 days. In some cases we may need to keep certain information, for example records we are legally required to retain, and we will explain this if it applies.
